Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Highland Dallas, Curio Collection By Hilton, I was impressed by its unique blend of luxury and comfort. The vibrant atmosphere at Mockingbird Station nearby offered eclectic shops and casual dining, making it a perfect backdrop for art enthusiasts like myself. The charming lobby, with ample seating and soothing water features, set an inviting tone, complemented by the friendly staff who lifted my spirits after a long day of travel. The room was well-kept, combining modern amenities with cozy touches, although there were minor maintenance issues that hinted at the hotel’s age. Dining at Knife, helmed by the acclaimed Chef John Tesar, was a culinary highlight that transformed the classic steakhouse experience into something truly memorable, further enriching my stay. While I cherished the hotel's potential, a slight improvement in upkeep could elevate it to a remarkable luxury retreat. The Highland Dallas offers a promising experience, particularly for those who appreciate a fusion of modern and traditional in an artful urban setting.
